Review: Avon Clearskin Blemish Clearing

I have been dreaming of wearing those cute two-piece swimsuits but due to dark spots and blemish caused by pimples, chickenpox and what not, the dream is less likely to come true. I simply do not have the confidence to bare my skin full of blemishes in public.

One of my co-workers is an Avon dealer and one day, I noticed another co-worker browsing the Avon catalog. I borrowed the catalog after she finished browsing and as I flip through the colorful and glossy pages, this particular product caught my attention. Claiming that positive results can be seen within 24 hours when applied every three to four hours, I decided to give this a go.

Unlike in the US wherein this gel is placed in a plastic tube, the one from the Philippines is placed in a small plastic bottle with pointed tip to minimize spills. It doesn't have smell so you never have to worry about scents being mixed with your perfume or cologne.

I've been using this for almost a month and I can see desirable results even though sometimes I skip on applying the product especially if I'm running late for work. Dark spots as big as one piece M&M's is reduced to more than 50% and the color has lightened as well.

Avon Clearskin Blemish Clearing contains 2% salicylic acid that promotes the shedding of the skin therefore prevents the clogging of the skin pores. Salicylic acid also acts as an inflammatory agent thus prevents and reduces redness and swelling.

Maybe if I will apply this religiously (every three to four hours everyday) I will have blemish-free skin within a month or two. :D
