Review: Be Organic Cocoa Butter Diaper Cream

Every mama out there knows how important it is to have a reliable diaper rash cream. From the day the baby is born until the next couple or so years of his/her life, they'd be using diapers, be it disposable or cloth, everyday. Lucky are those moms whose children mastered potty training earlier. As for me, I've been trying to potty train my son but we still get accidents because he tends to forget where to pee especially when he's busy playing. I have no choice but to have him wear diapers during bedtime and when we go out.

Over the course of two years, we have tried a few diaper rash creams with Dermablend Zinc Oxide as the most favorite one. While we're okay with Dermablend, I'm always drawn to organic products so I decided to try Human Heart Nature Natural Nappy Cream. We finished two tubs of it and I knew in my heart I want to try something else so I got Be Organic's Cocoa Butter Diaper Cream.

Product Description

Our natural diaper cream/balm is made from all natural ingredients like cocoa butter, beeswax and olive oil to nourish, repair and create a barrier to protect your little one from wetness and irritations. Calendula is especially useful in soothing rashes, insect bites and other minor irritations.

Review: Charlize Oral Contraceptive

DISCLAIMER: I am not in any way associated with this product nor have medical background about this matter. I am simply a blogger who decided to share my experience with this product. If you are confused about the dosage, schedule, etc., better consult a doctor to be safe.

Hello everyone! I'm back with a new review that will benefit my women readers. Today, I will be talking about the birth control pills I currently use. It's the Charlize Oral Contraceptive. I'm almost halfway with my second pack so I think it's about time I write about it.

Before this, I used Daphne pills for two years since I was breastfeeding my son back then. When I weaned him off, I switched to Althea but I was only able to use it for one month because of its effects on me (more on that in the days to come). I wanted to go back to using Sophia which I used before I got pregnant but it's been phased out already according to the pharmacy assistant. She recommended this Charlize saying that they're similar so I decided to give it a try.

Use

I started using Charlize after the seventh day of my pill-free days. Based on the leaflet that came in the box, the first pill should be taken after the seventh day of your pill-free days (for 21-pill pack) or the day after you took the last pill of the previous pack (for 28-pill pack). It can also be taken on the first day of your menstrual period or any day of the month as long as you are not pregnant. It's best taken at the same time each day.

Charlize is a 28-pill contraceptive, with the last seven pills as Iron supplement (Ferrous Fumarate).

Blogger Update

Hello everyone! It's been three months since my last post and I really miss writing reviews or any article I can share with all of you. But I don't have the luxury of time to update this blog because I'm busy working on the content of another site which we are launching soon. Additionally, my toddler has been wanting attention even if we are giving him lots of those. He would pull me away from my laptop each time he feels like I'm so serious with what I'm doing. Sometimes he would push me to lie down and tells me to "sleep". Maybe my son knows that I need more sleep? 😄 And guess what? We haven't found a babysitter until now. That's ridiculous! I wonder what caused the extinction... 😄

Anyway, I'm updating this to let you know that I'm still here and still very much interested to write for this site should I be given more free time. I just don't know when will it happen.

Play It Big At The Play Barn

As a mother of a young boy, I'm always on the lookout for various ways to make my child happy and entertained. Aside from buying him toys and taking him to our town plaza, I take him to indoor playgrounds too. I'd usually prefer those located inside malls since it is more convenient but to celebrate his 2nd birthday, we took him to The Play Barn at Solana Premiere in Iloilo Esplanade.

What sets The Play Barn apart from other indoor playgrounds he has been to before is the huge space and facilities like the giant soft slide that is as high as the ceiling. Actually, The Play Barn has only three main attractions - the obstacle house with ball pit, inflatable castle and the inflatable soft slide I mentioned. There are also three basketball hoops, mini trampoline, mini plastic slide as well as bouncy toys.

Babi Goes To... La Puerta Al Paraizo

[Babi Goes To... is a series to document our travels with our child. This is to help other parents decide if the destination is ideal for their own children.]

It's officially summer in the Philippines! Have you been to the beach or any summer destination this year? If not, I have a suggestion for you. Go visit La Puerta Al Paraizo in Nueva Valencia, Guimaras. We've been there last weekend and I fell in love with the place a few minutes after we got there. It's now my new favorite beach in Guimaras.

Villa Igang used to be a favorite but the beach in La Puerta is better in my opinion. It's calmer which is ideal even for young kids. My almost two-year old son didn't get scared playing along the coastline and I can even let him walk on his own in the water without worrying that he might fall due to strong waves. The beach isn't rocky as well which, again, is ideal for kids. During low tide, I love that the beach still looks as inviting.

Playtime at Kidzoona SM City Iloilo

Looking for a new place for your kids to have fun? Well, you need not look further. Kidzoona in SM City Iloilo is now open to welcome kids and kids at heart looking for a place to enjoy without leaving the mall. Aside from its convenient location, it is also the biggest playhouse under the roof of SM City Iloilo.

It opened late last year but there are Ilonggos who have not visited the place yet so I'm blogging about it now.

As soon as you enter the premise, this is what will greet you. This is the locker area - the orange ones are for shoes while the green ones are for valuables. The use of both lockers are free of charge however they will ask you for a deposit of Php 100 for the use of green lockers. You will be able to get back the deposit once you return the locker key when you go out.

Adjacent the locker area is the "Role Play Town". Here, kids can pretend to be making burgers and pizza and serving cakes and ice cream.

Review: Mizon Multifunction Formula Snail Recovery Gel Cream

Hello everyone! It's been a long while since my last product review. I actually have lots of products to review but I didn't have time to do so. As what I've said in my past posts, we launched the website for our passion project and revamped the website for our other passion project so it's taking so much of my time. Thankfully, the sites are almost done now so I might be able to blog more from now on.

In this post, I will be reviewing about my current moisturizer - the Mizon Multifunction Formula Snail Recovery Gel Cream. I learned about this product through my curiosity about Kbeauty. I've been reading reviews about it being ideal for people with oily skin so I got one for myself with high hopes that this will end my search for my HG moisturizer.

We're on Teespring!

Hello everyone!

While we are busy adjusting to a new work schedule, working on a new website and running after our almost two-year old son, the husband found time to design for Teespring. He recently opened a virtual store there and his initial designs are inspired by no less than our little boy. If you are looking for tshirts with fun prints for your kids (or adults who are kid at heart), check our BabiFun products here.

Hope you find something that'll catch your fancy.
