Review: Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam

It's been while since my last beauty product review and I honestly miss it - from testing the product and then taking product photos to writing and posting the review itself. But if you're a hands-on mama with an active toddler and no house helper, you can't even take a bath properly much more focus on beauty products you use.

But now that the husband has decided to leave his 9-5 job in the office to work from home like me, I'm hoping that I'd be able to do more reviews in the days to come.

In this post, I'll be reviewing one of the Korean skin care products I recently tried - the Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Absorb sebum and purify pores with Jeju's volcanic cleansing foam

1. A pore-cleansing foam containing Jeju volcanic scoria that strongly absorbs sebum and purifies clogged pores
2. Volcanic scoria--One of Jeju's natural ingredients

Jeju volcanic scoria is an alkaline substance with pH level similar to the human body. It is an ingredient free from impurities.

REVIEW

Packaging and Appeal. The product comes in a plastic tube similar to most cleansers. The product itself is white with few microbeads.

Effectiveness. The product claims to absorb sebum and purifies clogged pores but sad to say, I still have clogged pores though I have been using this for around a couple of months. I can't say that it didn't do anything but I think this product is not enough for my pore issue. Actually during the first few days of use, I developed few pimples and whiteheads hence I immediately stopped washing my face with this cleanser for fear that it may get worse. I gave my skin a rest and re-introduced it slowly (washed with this every other day). Now, I'm no longer getting as much pimple and I noticed a change in my skin. It helps brighten and smoothen my skin however, it failed to remedy my very clogged pores especially in the nose area. With regards to sebum absorption, I think it is indeed doing its claims. My face is less oily and I can see the much-needed glow.

Scent. This cleanser is lightly scented and the scent tends to disappear once you rinse the product off your face.

Ingredients. Jeju volcanic scoria

Price. From Innisfree website, regular price is Php 514 but I got this for Php 370 only from Althea Korea.

Availability. This product is not commonly sold in stores so buying online is the way to go. Aside from Althea Korea, this can also be purchased from Lazada and BeautyMNL among others.

I love that the tube is sealed.

Will I buy this product again?

Yes! Though it cannot clean my clogged pores thoroughly, I like the result I am seeing so far so I may purchase again, unless I found a more effective cleanser.

CONCLUSION

Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Cleansing Foam is ideal for people with oily skin however if you want something to purify your deep-seated clogged pores, you may want something more potent or perhaps, you may want to start with facial treatments and then this product as maintenance to prevent your pores from clogging.

If you haven't found your HG cleanser yet, give this a try!
