New Home

It’s pretty amazing how this blog evolved since I created it last 2008. From personal blog and online journal, it became an informational blog discussing about women-related stuff such as beauty reviews and lifestyle as well as food and travel.

I must be joking if I say that I didn't think of getting my own domain all those years. In fact, I have thought about it many times particularly when I turned this into an informational blog. However, I didn’t get around in doing so because of various reasons. One reason is the hosting. Hosting plans can be costly and I wasn’t ready to go all out since I wasn't sure if I can commit to blogging. Second reason is SEO. I was afraid that I may not be able to benefit from the SEO measures (though minimal) I did in the past should I change my web address. Third is technical concerns. I already spent many sleepless nights tweaking codes to get the layout I desire and have bothered a few people to help me with technical issues of my blog and if possible, I do not want to go through all those experiences again because it’s stressing me out (yes, I’m worry-freak!). Fourth, I can’t think of a better domain name that is ideal for my niche. :D I actually listed some as possible domain names but sadly, they are no longer available.

But one co-worker and a friend inspired me to finally go for it so here I am now, a bit giddy with excitement for the change that is about to happen. I am even happier because I snagged my domain for $2.67 only. Really cheap right? The original price is around $10 but I used a coupon code thus the low price.

So this would be my last post here at cescraze.blogspot.com. The next time I post, I’m pretty sure it will be at ruraldame.com. Follow me there!

FYI, this old address redirects there.

  2. Hi! My domain is with godaddy so I use this process. https://www.problogbooster.com/2010/05/custom-domain-blogger-godaddy-setting-up-cname-a-records-nameservers-dns-blogspot-guide.html

I think it's the same with other domain registry.

I'm only paying for my domain name annually and my hosting is free care of blogger.

Hope this helps and good luck with your website. :)
