Review: The Face Shop Lovely Me:Ex You & Face Blusher

This is another long-overdue post. This is supposed to be posted December last year or at least January this year but with the holiday rush in addition to other posts lined up for December, who has time to make a review? Not me! :D

This is the first ever product I bought from The Face Shop and I have not read any review prior to making the purchase. But for some reason, I had the strong urge to head to the cashier to pay for it, and pay is what I did.

Find out what made me buy this blusher and why I never regret doing so…

Review

Packaging and Appeal. I love the packaging of this blusher. It’s so cute that if you are not a makeup enthusiast, you might mistake it for something other than a blusher. It comes in a rectangular transparent case wherein the outer area is printed to give you the illusion of a cassette tape.

The purchase doesn’t come with an applicator nor a mirror so even if it is small, taking this with you on your purse for touch ups may not be a very good idea since you will have to bring a brush and mirror. However if you don’t mind the bulk, then you can go for this one.

Scent. Though the product is not claiming to be unscented, I don’t think there is smell at all - perfect for those with sensitive nose or not keen on using scented cosmetics.

Pigmentation. I love that the shade I got (pink peach 07) gives that natural hue. It is not too overwhelming and is so faint that I have to apply a little more than the usual to make the color appear on my cheeks. I also love that this shade doesn’t have shimmer, unlike other shades available in their store.

Texture. The texture is so smooth you will never see loose powder scattering around the pan. Even after swiping the brush to the blusher many times, the loose powder I am getting is minimal to nothing.

Staying Power. The staying power is okay. Even with my oily face and without primer, it lasts the whole day.

Ingredients.

Price. One blusher costs Php 299 and considering its quality, I think it is reasonably-priced.

Availability. Though a product of South Korea, The Face Shop has made its way to the Philippines. This is available in all The Face Shop branches all over the Philippines.

Conclusion.
The Face Shop boasts of their natural ingredients that is why their product tagline, “The natural story”. If you are a fanatic or want to try products containing natural ingredients, this one is for you. It may be originally created for Korean skins but since they have become international, I’m sure they have done something in order for their products to suit the masses
