June Recap

I can't believe the first half of the year has ended! Where did time go? Anyway, I am starting this series as a way for me to look back and share to you the highlights of the month, not only regarding my blog and posts but my life in general. For the month of June, here's the recap...

  • I am a year older this month. I am officially 31, happy with my family life though I admit, I sometimes wish I'm free to do the things I used to do before, and earn as much. For now, it's close to impossible to go back to regular programming as I have an active one-year old who loves to explore his surroundings and he has no one to accompany him but mama. So yeah, I may not be earning much in terms of monetary, but I think I'm doing alright with this motherhood thing. It's not that bad at all!
  • I've been trying to post regularly, at least once a month. For this month, I was able to publish six posts. I've been gathering topics and writing potential post titles as well. Also, I've been thinking to go out and explore the community, alone, at least once a month to give me ideas to write about. I want to try new restaurants, explore new shops and boutiques, and visit new attractions in the city.
  • And to document above, I should have a good camera to capture the moment. I've been searching about cameras lately since our old one is not working well anymore. I'm not that familiar with photography and camera terminologies, though, so it's kind of hard for me to decide what I want/need. Gotta ask the husband's help with this. Additionally, good cameras come with a price so I need to save for it and make sure it is really what I wanted. I'm considering second-hand too but that remains to be seen.
  • I'm also working a little harder on my other site, Iloilo Wedding Network - a one-stop information resource about weddings in our city. I've been neglecting it for so long and it needs some tender loving care. I'm grateful though that despite the lack of update, I believe there are still a few reading it and perhaps finding it useful because of the Facebook likes our fan page constantly gets.
  • I revived my series "A Photo a Week" and renamed it to "Friday Photo".
  • I started trying new skin care products, particularly Korean skin care. Will be posting more about it in the coming days. Annyeong-haseyo!
  • I've rediscovered my love for Bloglovin, an awesome blog directory for bloggers and non-bloggers alike. For bloggers, to gain wider audience and for non-bloggers/readers to discover various blog worldwide. Find me there!

That's it for this month! I hope can maintain this series, and revive other series I had as well.
