Review: Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Cheek Tint

It’s been awhile since my last makeup review. Oh well, I have been trying to minimize spending on makeup because I want to use everything that I have before they expire and end up in the trash. Also, I have so many reasons for saving thus it’s fairly easy for me to maintain my makeup purchase ban.

So the products that I will be reviewing are either bought before I impose the ban or are gifted to me by family and friends. One of the products is this Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Cheek Tint which I got through a raffle from a friend’s online store.

Actually, I just looked at this product in passing before all this because I’m not really fond of blushes such as this. I still prefer the powder blushes applied by a brush. But since I have this in my possession, it would be a waste not to use the blush even just once.

Review:

Packaging and Appeal. The product comes in oval-shaped container in which the upper portion is transparent and the lower is metallic. It doesn’t have any fancy print except for the Beauty Rush logo. As such, it is easy to identify and just grab the color of the blush you wish to use. The small knob or roller is located in the heart of the blush container as opposed to others which is located at the bottom. The cover is also transparent.

The texture of the blush is like that of a lip balm and is quite sticky when applied. That is one of the things I do not really like about this product. It makes my skin more oily thus prone to gather dirt and other irritants from air.

Scent. While it’s not overpowering, it smells greasy and I’m not fond of it either. It doesn’t last though as a few seconds after application, the scent is completely gone.

Application. I think the only thing I love about this product is that it is very easy to apply. It glides on the skin and can be applied even without mirror.

Effectiveness. This blush gives a sheer finish and no matter how thick you apply, it will still give you that sheer finish.

Staying Power. This blush stays on the face for like five minutes... okay let’s make it 10. It also has the tendency to disappear while you are still blending it on the skin so maybe you can apply a little bit more.

Ingredients. Unfortunately, there is no list of ingredients listed in the packaging nor can I find in the company’s website. Actually, I cannot even find the product in the website. Probably the product has been discontinued.

Shade: Just Peachy
Price. I’m not really sure about the price since it is not available locally but it’s for sale in Amazon for $3.99.

Availability. As what I have said, this cheek tint is not available locally.

Would I buy this product again?
No, even if it's has 90% discount.

Conclusion:
Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Cheek Tint is simply not for people with oily skin like me.It's not for those who are after longevity either. There are so many other higher quality blushes.
